HRI 2013 Student Volunteer Application

We are pleased to announce that there is funding available to partially support travel to HRI 2013 (main conference), for Student Volunteers. Students receiving support from the main conference will be expected to volunteer time to help with on-site registration and with general duties, as needed, from 3 March (early on-site registration, tutorials, and workshops) through 6 March, 2013.

Being a Student Volunteer is a great way to enter the HRI research community, meet other students in your field, and attend one of the most important conferences in HRI. We are looking to include students with diverse backgrounds in HRI and from all parts of the world. Note: You need not have an accepted paper/poster/workshop at HRI 2013 to be considered for financial support as a Student Volunteer, although students with accepted work will be given priority. The deadline for applying for Student Volunteer funds by submitting the requested information is February 1, 2013. Please apply here!

Announcing the Human-Robot Interaction Pioneers Workshop 2013

The 2013 Human-Robot Interaction Pioneers Workshop will be held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday, March 3, 2013.

The 2013 Pioneers Workshop, which will be held in conjunction with the Eighth ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction, is the premiere venue for student research in the field. This highly selective workshop is a cohort of the world’s top student researchers that seeks to foster creativity, communication, and collaboration across the incredibly diverse field of human-robot interaction.
